Trust Education Welfare Officer
Fixed Term Contract for 1 year
LPT Grade 7 £33,625 - £35,840 FTE salary, £29,180 - £31,102 pro rata based on working 36 hours per week
Are you passionate about supporting children’s education and wellbeing? Learning Partners Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated Education Welfare Officer to support our attendance leads and pastoral and SEN teams across our Trusts schools to improve school attendance and punctuality, support families, and ensure that our students achieve their full potential through attendance and engagement with education.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person.
You will:
· Provide support and guidance to schools in all aspects of attendance and punctuality
· Coordinate and lead on the case management for students and families with persistent absenteeism across our Trust Schools
· Conduct home visits and meetings to support families in overcoming the barriers to learning
· Develop and contribute to initiatives that raise awareness among school staff, parents and the community about the importance of school attendance and punctuality
· Work with senior leaders, wider pastoral teams and SEN teams to ensure statutory duties are understood and met

JOB REQUIREMENTS
You will:
· Extensive experience of working with children and families
· Have experience/working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice and legalisation relating to attendance and access to education
· Proven experience of inter-agency working to support children and families
· Strong ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and tact
· Ability to communicate sensitively with Trust and school leaders, parents, students and staff
