George Abbot School is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused individual to join our team as a Curriculum and Student Information Systems Manager. This is a pivotal role supporting the school’s management information systems, with a particular focus on curriculum, timetabling, and student data.
The successful candidate will manage and maintain the school’s information systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all relevant platforms. You will support key administrative processes including timetabling, academic clinics, and performance management, and coordinate systems such as Parents’ Evening and Room Booking. You will also be responsible for handling data housekeeping and quality assurance tasks to ensure reliable and secure information storage, and for liaising with staff and parents to respond to enquiries and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in data management or student information systems would be advantageous. We are looking for someone with strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and databases.
The ideal candidate will have the vision and drive to improve data use across the school, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and the confidence, resilience, and professionalism to thrive in a busy school environment. A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusive education is essential.
Why choose us?
Ofsted (February 2025) said: “Staff and pupils work hard together in this strong school community. The school is highly ambitious for its pupils. Staff provide high-quality teaching and support which takes account of pupils’ starting points and needs. The school is a calm, safe, purposeful place. Pupils are exceptionally courteous and polite. They treat each other with respect and care.”
Good Schools Guide (June 2024) said: “Parents and pupils attribute the school’s success to its ‘strong leadership’ and ‘supportive teachers’. Pupils felt that many go ‘above and beyond’, making lessons enjoyable and interactive and sharing their passion for their subjects. The school motto, "not for oneself but for all," encourages an altruistic and reflective attitude.”
